Curry lands at Duke

The Seth Curry courtship was a short one.

Curry, the former Liberty guard who averaged 20.2 points per game this year and was the nation’s top freshman scorer, will play for Mike Krzyzewski at Duke, according to Liberty coach Ritchie McKay.

McKay said Curry called him Sunday to tell him the news.

Curry announced Tuesday that he was transferring after one year at Liberty because he wanted to play against a higher level of competition.

Five ACC schools contacted the Curry family and asked for permission to speak to Seth—Virginia Tech, Clemson, Duke, Wake Forest and North Carolina State.
