Quick Winthrop-Liberty MBB pregame
First, a coverage note:
* No Twitter updates tonight. Due to the incoming weather, I have a 9:45 p.m. deadline, which means I have to write a terrible game story fraught with play-by-play. If you’re looking for player and coach reaction from tonight’s game, I’ll have a follow-up story in the Saturday News & Advance.
* STARTERS
WINTHROP (11-10, 7-4 Big South)
G Reggie Middleton (6-1, 195) 8.6 ppg/3.0 rpg
G Robbie Dreher (6-4, 185) 6.3/2.5
F Mantoris Robinson (6-5, 205) 7.8/6.1
F Matt Morgan (6-9, 235) 7.9/4.1
C Andy Buechert (6-9, 235) 6.8/7.0
LIBERTY (11-11, 6-4)
G Jesse Sanders (6-3, 200) 7.1/6.6
G Evan Gordon (6-2, 185) 11.6/4.4
G Jeremy Anderson (6-4, 200) 5.9/1.7
F Patrick Konan (6-5, 205) 7.3/4.5
F Antwan Burrus (6-6, 210) 6.7/3.9
* Kyle Ohman is not dressed tonight and will sit on the bench in street clothes for a fourth straight game.
* Winthrop has won three straight heading into this game, Liberty has won two in a row. Winthrop hasn’t won a road game outside of the greater Spartanburg-Clinton, S.C., area. The Eagles’ two road wins this season are at Presbyterian and USC Upstate.
That’s it for now.
