Hokies receive fourth football commit for 2011

Virginia Tech’s football team received an oral commitment for 2011 from defensive back Adeboye Aromire on Friday.

According to recruiting Web site Rivals.com, the 6-foot, 190-pound Aromire had 71 tackles, three sacks and two interceptions last season at H.D. Woodson High in Washington, D.C. Rivals ranks Aromire 31st among defensive backs in the class of 2011.

Aromire, who also received offers from Illinois, Maryland, North Carolina and West Virginia, is the Hokies’ fourth commit for next season and the second player to commit to Tech this week.

Tight end Christian Reeves, from McDonough, Ga., committed Tuesday.
