Michael Vick scheduled for return to Blacksburg
According to multiple reports, former Virginia Tech quarterback Michael Vick is expected to be back in Blacksburg on Saturday for the Hokies spring football game.
When asked to confirm these reports in an email, Virginia Tech associate director of athletics John Ballein wrote, “It is a possibility.”
Vick, currently a reserve quarterback for the Philadelphia Eagles, was one of a handful of former Hokies in the NFL who were invited to attend the game, which kicks off at 2 p.m. at Lane Stadium.
He has not made an official appearance at Tech since serving 21 months in prison for his role in a dog fighting operation.
Vick is scheduled to make an appearance at Tech Bookstore on Main Street in Blacksburg before the game. The store’s Facebook page says he will sign autographs for a fee from 10:30 a.m. to noon.
The fee is $25 in advance or $30 at the door, with the proceeds going to Vick’s management company.

Why would Tech invite someone like Vick to camp? You would think after all the bad events coming out of Blacksburg, a glowing reminder of the failed school administration would be the last thing they would want. What respect I had for this school is lost.
